UNITED ARAB EMIRATES

A federation of hereditary absolute monarchies, the United Arab Emirates consists of seven emirs: Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Fujairah, Sharjah, Dubai, Ras al-Khaimah and Umm al-Qaiwain. The fascinating skyscrapers and the man-made island are a typical characteristic of Dubai and come to mind when trying to define the country.
