When the golden hour falls upon the city, Cairo looks somehow softer. Everything seems to slow down and for a moment it feels as if time stands still just for you. One of the most stunning, historically rich and culturally diverse cities in the world, Cairo is iconic to say the least. To be there means to stand in the middle of a thriving Egypt. Whether you are enjoying the panoramic views from the 187m Cairo Tower, blending with the crowds at Tahrir Square or you are sat at a café going through the polaroid pictures you took in the Egyptian Museum of the King Tutankhamun artifacts, take some time to stop what you are doing and enjoy a peaceful moment in the city.

At sunset, the golden shade of the sunlight extends across the squares and manage to touch everything. Suddenly, you will understand why they named Cairo the 'Victorious One'. The city oozes sophistication and strength. The dozen unspoken tales of Cairo's history  and everything it has been through in the past will leave you in awe.

Take the time to appreciate a place wherever you end up travelling. Learn to slow down, put your camera away and take the view in. You will experience a thrill like no other while admiring the city not as a tourist, but as a nomad who doesn't leave traces of their travels to a destination but rather takes in the lessons the land has to give. In the golden hour, you and the city become one - there is no other feeling like it.
