Sri Lanka is one of those places that charm your soul and leave you feeling like a completely different person after your visit. It is no wonder why the country is well-known for its natural beauty. With so many hiking tracks to choose from, historic rocks to climb and national parks to visit, you will never run out of things to do.

As travelling is so much more accessible nowadays than it used to be a couple of decades ago, planning a trip to alternative destinations such as Sri Lanka is a must. The country can use all the support from visitors it can get. A lot of the locals depend on tourism for their livelihood so if you haven't decided where to plan your next adventure and you are longing for pristine beaches, tropical vibes and captivating jungles, than look no further. Sri Lanka has it all.

When you first get to the country, you will be convinced that the trip there was worth the effort. Imagine seeing workers at tea plantations from the window of your train, mountain ranges guarding the horizon and the warm water of the ocean glistening in the distance as you make your way to beached that have barely been explored. Whether you are an adventurer looking for the next best trip of your life or you are a nomadic traveller who wants to escape the norm of city breaks and staycations, Sri Lanka has everything you can possibly need and more.

Public transport is safe, reliable and cheap so getting from the beautiful beaches of Mirissa to the mountain tops of Nuwara Eliya won't be a problem. The country is easy to navigate so planning your stay, regardless of whether you want to explore the land by bike, if you prefer to hire a car for a road trip or you are a fan of the outdoors and want to spend as much time hiking as possible, there is a way to personalize your experience.

A paradise for photographers, Sri Lanka must make it to the top of your bucket list. When you get there it will feel as if no traveller has ever made it to the country before you. The tropical charm of the Asian country will have you fall in love with the people, the culture and everything in between.
